running win 7 pro in a dual boot with winxp home on both mine and my wife's msi wind u100 netbooks..to be honest, haven't tried to run either just with the battery yet, but her's has 1 gig of memory, mine 2 gig..i haven't noticed any issues with speed on either.
well, i got control panel working (took the windows updated driver to do so) but won't solve my issue and using nvidia's resize tool isn't working (i can click on it and try to resize but when i hit "apply" it goes back to original. sigh...there's got to be something out there that allows me to...
cool tip on the nvidia and control panel..i'll give that a whirl. if i could at least get it in the end to do what i need it to do on my big screen tv..even if i never get it to work for my tuners, i'll be happy to use it when it's final. given they took out overscan on nvidia drivers at the...
john, i get ya, but don't lose sleep over it if you can't or have to wait..it's a bit faster vista in a lot of ways. i know there's a "how do you like it" thread already but i'll just say it has enough critical driver issues at this point that it's virtually useless for everything i want to do...
i found installing win 7 a bit disconcerting in that it sat there for so long doing nothing so i thought it had hung up and started again..once past that , things went pretty smoothly..the problem i'm going to have versus winxp pro is drivers, drivers, drivers. got the atheros network adapter to...
was able to download both without issue last night. one key for both..option to get more keys but only one needed. (i'm a technet subscriber so i get 6 installs of each..good nuff.
nice catch, i think! did the cmos clear and while it's earlier, so far so good in some keyboard testing..i'm glad i got the replacement keyboard mouse for a cheap price or i'd be a bit annoyed with myself. thanks and happy ho ho!
i have a logitech keyboard and it worked fine until 2 days ago at which point the o key only wouldn't always work..it would not type the o when pressed on so i hit it 2 or 3 times then it would repeat the o. so i thought my o key had died. got a new logitech keyboard (different model) and it's...
you can't sue when you invest in shares in a company..get their lawyers to send you all their little fine print when it comes to investing in the company..you're a speculator like anyone else who buys stocks..what, you think there wouldn't be people suing companies left and right at the moment...
uhmmmm..just wondering where you guys live, what your passwords are and do you have any valuable pron on your computer..
i'm only asking as i like to experiment and want to do some research, though:)
Good idea, Gill..And i agree, Nerp..i have found one day i have luck with the pins and the next i could destroy 8 pins. i've been using backplate/screw systems for my last 2 heatsinks and never looked back.
wow..not a stunning endorsement so far:) i did dabble with it years ago but lack of drivers for my printer and scanner at the time took me out of the running. anyone else?
i have not tried xp 64 and have the opportunity to. if you think so, please list the benefits..i really don't want to rebuild simply for no very good reason, if that makes sense..thank you as always.
