Figured it out...actually, the Quadro 280 NVS is covered with the new drivers. I had the PCI address of my video card set wrong (it was at default) but after that it's working great. The system (P3 Coppermine 1GHz, 512MB SDRAM) can't really handle Desktop Effects or Beryl, unless anybody knows...
