When playing games my CPU rises up to 38 degrees, motherboard hits 45ish, but my graphics card goes all the way up to 79/80. This must be too hot? Also, this is with an exhaust fan right underneath it.
Previously I had to take the side off my case to even play games for longer than 5...
I am getting this on my new system too. I also have a wirless PCI network card, safecom not netgear though. I also had wireless keyboard/mouse, when I switched back to wired the problem didn't really exist.
Okay I definitely think its my PSU now, lol. I just played half-life 2 on maximum settings for half an hour without my DVD drive connected and my machine is ice cool and relatively quiet. I have a dual rail 480V PSU coming tomorrow, so thanks for the help guys.
Okay, I connected non-USB keyboard and mice and the response is better, but moving my mouse and especially holding the middle button down and then dragging takes up an abnormal amount of CPU resources. These components are all new, so it would be no problem to return one if it were faulty. I've...
Are you sure thats what he means? The error isn't coming up anymore, I forgot to connect the PSU to the card and it's fine now. But the system still seems unstable.
okay so my system is pretty unstable.. the cpu usage is constantly up at 70~100% whenever I'm downloading something (ie writing to disk). i also have a wireless usb mouse and keyboard and they constantly pause and jerk around. would this be caused by poor power supply?
HMmm my PSU doesn't have the connector I need coming out of it. That's probably why I didn't realise it needed one. I'll definitely need a new PSU then. Hrrmph.
"are you sure you have the graphics card plugged into the PSU via molex connector"
Umm.. I plugged my graphics card into my PCI-e slot.
What is this molex connector thing? This is the first I've built a PC :\
