rename your win.com, located in c:\windows, to win.xxx. DO NOT DELETE IT! (you'll want to be able to rename it back to win.com should somthing go wrong). That will allow the full version ot install.

Fry's Electronics has (had?) an adapter kit. plug one end inot the drive, the other into the IDE port on you m/b. Works just like an internal 3.5" HDD. I think it was about 15.00.

sounds like it could be either the card(s) is/are not installed correctly, or more to the point, if you get a &quot;no reply&quot; when pinging localhost, your TCP/IP is not installed correctly or is corrupted.

start - run - command at ANY Dos prompt type: PING IP ADDRESS or PING Localhost. If they both see themselves, sounds like maybe an issue with the cable or maybe MS file print sharing.
