Help, a very hot XP 1800 60 degrees plus.

OMG I have same problem with you. Seems like 1800 is lot hotter than 1700 and HOTTER THAN FASTER CHIPS!! I tested with a 2100 and it was more than 15 degree cooler with same fan. With 1800 I was getting around 70c !! on Medium and 60 on High, and this isn't with Stock fan+heatsink, this is with...

Thermaltake 7+ VS. 9 which HS is better?

I do but don't expect ANY of the 2 to be really quiet cuz you would almost NEVER use their Low setting/mode (especially 7+) Cooling wise I think 7+ is better for higher temps due to it's copper heatsink, and 9 is better for slower chips, aluminum cools lower temps better than copper.

Why does my Volcano 7+ suck?

Yes I did buy a Heatsink Fan combo cuz IT ONLY COMES LIKE THAT if you buy from stores. Yes the heatsink fins are bent. And no I'm not exaggerating, it is that loud. I did comparison with another Fan+heatsink combo that was rated 67db and the Volcano was louder. And no 70 db is not as loud as...

Why does my Volcano 7+ suck?

On a Athlon XP 1800 and Asus AV7333 my volcano 7 can't lower the temperature pass 57c (on High, on medium = 65-75 C), and it's noise is like around 70dB. According to multiple reviews, it should be capable of temperature down to the 30's Celsius and around 30-45dB. I used Arctic Silver 3 (I did...

Blurry graphics on Radeon 9700 pro

By the way it's not just in CS, it's in other games like Mafia as well. Just that it is extra noticeable and annoying in CS. So far only way is to crank up the resolution so that all pixels looks smaller. I still dunno how to turn on Vertical Sync for sure yet. Anyone knows?

Blurry graphics on Radeon 9700 pro

Nevermind my previous description of the edges. Upon closer and detailed examination, the edges do look how they're suppose to. The odd thing is, like teeth on a saw or like tiny stairs, the none anti-aliased jaggedness actually MOVE alone the entire edge, like mini train carts being pulled on a...

Blurry graphics on Radeon 9700 pro

Oh I see... but it seems like V-sync is on though. In Display property (" wait for vertical sync [ ] off or Application preference ") as you can see I chose application preference. Is there another place where I can actually specify On or Off? As for "flickering texture", it's not...

Blurry graphics on Radeon 9700 pro

Hmmm, seems like the blurred texture issue in CS is not related to the problem in other games. I fixed CS, there were some graphic adjustments in the game's config file that was causing it. But there's still more problem. In CS the edges of any object constantly flickers where ever I go, it's...

Blurry graphics on Radeon 9700 pro

I have ATI's Radeon 9700 pro and before that I had Radeon 8500 LE. Both cards produces blurred out texture for OpenGL games. The problem is less noticeable on textures closer and toward center of the view point and more noticeable on textures further and toward the sides of the view point (ie...
