    750GTX vs 560Ti

I used the exact same settings when using both cards. It was just a hardware swap. Before and after the swap I ran ARK in one display and a video using VLC in the other display. With the 750 the video was full of artifacts and performed poorly unless it held focus and with the 560 it played...

    750GTX vs 560Ti

EVGA 750GTX 1GB (Not the Ti) vs EVGA 560TI SSC 1GB Thanks to a generous RMA upgrade from EVGA (after having to do it twice) I found myself with the above configuration choice. Now after revisiting reviews and real world usage from this past weekend I've come to the following conclusions...

what advantages to update to W10 from W7 ultimate?

Even with SSD support I can't imagine why you'd want to stick with XP. Especially unpatched. (wtf!?) This sounds just like you're sticking with XP because of how popular it was to hate on Windows 7 when it launched. Why not look at this from the opposite side. Why are you so determined to...

    HDMI vs DVI

I don't believe that's quite correct. There are different types of DVI: - DVI-D (digital only) - DVI-A (analog only) - DVI-I (integrated, combines digital and analog) With the first and last of these options (not analog) you also have the option of both dual or single link. So you can get...

If NVIDIA and AMD ran at exactly the same price/performance/heat/RAM ratios...

Could you please elaborate more on the 970GTX driver troubles you mentioned and also how AMD are maintaining performance longer?

Thank you! SHEILD Tablet and resolution/IQ differences. More examples of exactly what I'm looking for!

If NVIDIA and AMD ran at exactly the same price/performance/heat/RAM ratios...

For my interests, Freesync vs G Sync seems to be the biggest factor mentioned so far but I wonder if it's too far ahead in the future to consider? I'm still running an old DELL 2405FPW along with a 40" 1080 television so there's an upgrade coming in the near future for sure but deciding a...

If NVIDIA and AMD ran at exactly the same price/performance/heat/RAM ratios...

Me too.. and really one of the biggest reasons for this thread I suppose. The whole price/performance numbers don't match with the prices I have available here.

Here's an example of the sort of differences I'm looking to learn about: See Here

If NVIDIA and AMD ran at exactly the same price/performance/heat/RAM ratios...

I have been very happy with my NVIDIA cards. Specifically with EVGA but with the warranty offered no longer lifetime and the apparent flop of the 960GTX I find myself reconsidering what was once an assumed purchase. My hypothetical situation strips away (or hopes to, anyway) the answer that...

If NVIDIA and AMD ran at exactly the same price/performance/heat/RAM ratios...

Ah, ok, I could believe this. The whole MANTLE vs DX12 thing definitely doesn't work in AMD's favor.

I usually just give my old cards to family but that is a very good point that I didn't consider. Resale value.

If NVIDIA and AMD ran at exactly the same price/performance/heat/RAM ratios...

Is this still the general consensus? Sounds like a fallacy that's just been carried forward from many years ago. I know HDMI coloring is questionable on both sides but I haven't heard it directed at one specific brand.

The above quote in bold. That's exactly what I want to know about right now. Which brand card is giving me those extra features?

In this thread exercise there is no letdown. Both unspecified cards are running your favorite game at some random ideal fps. You spend $XXX.xx either way on either of these imaginary cards. ^^ In this case.. Why are you going NVIDIA or why are you going AMD?
