    Please help me understand this CurseTheSky.. How is it possible that i920 + 260-216 sli rig can be handled by a psu with a rating of 450? OP also mentioned in his other thread that he will be oc'ing his cpu, which is known to reqiure alot of power.

    If your going to be spending more then $230 for a psu, might as well pick up the Corsair HX1000. At least this way, you have more headroom for more parts and oc'ing w/out running into problems

    Yes it would run on stock settings but if I was to oc the cpu and add a dual loop w/c set-up it will easily pass 750w

    well i would just send you a pm but i cant see an option to do that.. as in for hardforums, such a pain not being able to use gmail... ill have to wait til an admin activates my account there ive honestly had the cpu for about a week now and to be honestly i havent been able to get it...

    i have that same mb with the e6850 paired with 2 x 1 Ballistix ddr2 800 and it works fine you can actually oc it to 9 x 400 - 3.6GHz with only 1.3-1.35 vcore which shouldnt cause any stability and temp issues

    i have my e6850 with a mild oc of 3.6 with 1.375 vcore on bios right now, havent had a chance to mess it with more yet temps on load was around 40 with a w/c setting on low sort of sucks i cant use any programs to tell what my vcore on windows both cpu-z and coretemp reports 1.275

    How to tell what stepping you have based off text on CPU heatspreader?

    For the E6850, it should say SLA9V but again like capt caveman said its a G0 anyway so n reason to look @ the stepping if anything just to compare with people... ill be more interested in the batch #

    well i tired what you told me with the water drop on the ihs and it stuck to the glass so this means its flat?
