Uh Hell yes, it crushes that laptop, even plays low end games and i tested 1080P play back and it worked great, try that on your old lappy. Plus you can probably get like $200.00 for your old lappy if it is in good condition.

Also i found out the HD 2600 pro comes in many different speeds, this could also be why i some show better than a 6800gt. for the every chart I found that showed the 2600 was faster i found several that showed the 6800gt was faster.
