I did do that use DMA if enabled and it wont work. I even took it out and put it as a slave in all my other comps and still only PIO So im ditching it and gettin my old 10 and 20 gigs i just tested that are dma 2 and 4 This better work. Im startin to feel like i may be gettin somewhere.

I have a Samsung sp0802n 80gb ata133 HD. When it boots up it only says ATA100. Why is this? I have the newest chipset drivers. Also, is system hardware it says it is in pio mode and not DMA? What do i do?

Well it says DMA if avaliable but it says current mode PIO. That sounds like bad news from what you said. What do i do?
