Registration and Activation are 2 different things. If you go to the Service Activation link on www.replaytv.com it says that ALL 5500 models are pre-activated with 3 years and as long as there is no "service activation" choice within the Setup Menu on the replaytv that the system is activated...

Drove 1 hour to CC and got two units. Salesman said they now require registaration but they had stickers and one worked fine the other is giving me a Network Socket Error. I will call tech support tomorrow. Any thoughts to what this means?

Cool...so I can boot from the XP Pro CD. If I boot from the CD, will it give me the option of erasing the hard drive, etc before installing the OS? Is there anything I can/should do before trying to install XP Pro? thanks

I have sold my Dell Desktop without the Operating System it came with. Since I paid for the OS that came with the Dell Desktop, can I physically and legally install it onto another computer? Will thre be an install porblems putting it on another Dell computer or other brand computer? Thanks
