Thanks thats good advice.
I also use Blender a lot (3D modelling app) and moving vertices feels so much better on 3D with 144hz like you mentioned with ArchiCAD.
I ended up picking up the card I linked off Amazon sounds like it will do the job. Has the right ports and does 4K @ 60 so I'm...
@96Firebird
The most common thing people forget is how awesome the mouse pointer moves on the desktop with 144hz. More than just gaming benefits from the 144hz refresh.
I have 2 extra 144Hz monitors (go figure right) and got used to this at home on my gamer box that any time I'm moving a...

Yes thanks just 24" 1080p I forgot that part. I was under the assumption if a spec says 4K @ 60Hz that 1080p would support 144Hz.... is that a proper assumption?
HELP!!
I am going bonkers trying to find a simple dual DP low profile GPU for my corp desktop at work to support 144Hz driving (2) 24" monitors.
Any help is appreciated....
So far I was looking at this but it's not clear if it drives 144hz...

Damn my head's spinnin... I think I'll wait. I need new hockey skates and some other crap anyhow! I guess I'll milk the 280's some more.... it plays fine.
As of last night I downloaded some drivers off Guru3D and was able to push the distances to the max on all sliders and run the ENB...
Thanks for the responses.
I know the 7000 series and the 580s are overpriced to me....
I did a bunch of reading and found the EVGA GTX560ti 448 Core Classified.... for $299 on newegg. It supposedly overclocks very well and can match or even best a reference (non-OC) GTX580 which is $300...
Hey all,
I'm currently running GTX280 SLI setup... the main game I play is Skyrim right now and loving it. My current setup does fairly well in Ultra texture settings with tweaks obviously to distance and other settings.
I am running a post FFXA injector which makes lighting/shading so much...
Thanks, I'm thinkin Skyrim next week mainly.... obviously I'll see how it runs on my i920 and current SLI setup and then make a decision. I agree on the philosophy of if it runs my games leave it alone...
Just wondering mainly where GTX 280 sli fit in performance vs. current single cards...
I have GTX280 SLI in my system and I'm still seeing pretty darn good perf in all my games at 1900x1080. If I go with a single card solution which is the one to go for?
I've been AFK here for some time and feel out of touch on what's the latest greatest... and wondering if now is the time to...
I was on one of those boycott MW2 groups until a friend literally begged me to get it and initially I loved it until the hackers just rolled in. I really wish I stood my ground because generally I will not pay more than the $49.99 and I rarely even pay that with the way Steam has been the last...
Borderlands is great for a couple play-throughs. It's not that good solo and the real fun is with 4x players it's got just the right challenge level/feel with 4 people.
Solo is WAY too easy.
The first content expansion was VERY lame. I'm not happy about the direction the game is...
