the mb shows wrong temp - dont worry.
The cpu arent really that hot, because then it should meltdown and the air surrounding the cpu arent even hot... believe me you'd feel...

read it carefully and u'd notice others have the same problem as I... someone actually says the k8t800 has the same problem...

Im hardly a newbie at mounting cpu/cooler or using thermal paste...
Only thing I dont know is what to believe - the temperature in the cabinet or the readings on the motherboard. My cpu don't feel so hot, but then again I can never know if I don't ask if it's a thing more people...

Im getting rather frustrated that the manual doesn't say what rt1 and cpu die is... I've bought a new cooler (now I have 2x cobber coolers expensive and they should cool this baby to 33 degrees c)
I still get the reading ~50 degrees C in bios at startup and idle, and in load...
hmm sry but i can't remember the versions right now. The hwmonitor which was downloadable from the german site showed very low cpu die temp while the one from the driver cd to the mobo showed as high as the bios. :)
bios temp is 50c at idle at default volt settings
system temp is 27c
In xp with the hwmonitor from the cd I get
cpu die (doesn't say what that is in the program or the manual) is 50 at idle and 65 after ½ an hour of load in prime95, cpurightmark and r1 is 27c
