I had a similar problem about a year ago. If you let the computer idle on the black screen for a while does it eventually blue screen? If so what error comes up? Unfortunately for me it was a stop error, ended up being a major nightmare. I'd go ahead and do the repair.

I have found so much information about how to do this via VBScript. I need a c# class or a piece of code to do it. I have tried to use Microsoft Jet engine, but that was unsuccessful because it requires a tab delimeted file to start with. Any pointers on this? Thanks.
