I'm having problems updating the firmware for my Pioneer DVR-A103. Everytime i try to run the firmware flash program, the computer reboots and i get a message saying it recovered from a serious error. The update is for using DVDs with 4x speed.

There is no option for interlacing in both Pinnacle studio version 7 and MYDVD by sonic. If I let MYDVD convert the AVI files to MPEG2 there is no image shifting, but the overall picture is slightly blurred or grainy. When I use Pinnacle to convert the files to MPEG2, the picture is sharp but...

The picture seems to split whens theres fast movement in the video. Kind of like a double image at times.
