No reply needed, I checked with Gigaram who said that this RAM just isn't compatible with Apple hardware. If a company is going to sell funky chips that don't actually live up to specifications, they should at least label them as "not-for-people-with-picky-machines"

I have recently upgraded my CPU to a Barton 3000, unfortunately my mobo cannot run the processor and stay stable at 166 mhz. I would like to replace the mobo with a PCI Express capable motherboard. Would someone please recommend a PCI-E motherboard that can run a Barton?

I have seen this error before with bad media on several occasions, every time I fixed the problem by downloading an ISO and burning off a copy at 2x on high-end media. Don't blame New-Egg for the bad-media, blame MS for contracting the CD manufacturing to the lowest-bidding chinese factories.
