the stock fan will go on occasionally, but it will turn for about two or three seconds and go off and stay off for about ten minutes, then go back on for about two seconds, and repeat the whole cycle. It is a fairly new motherboard so I don't get why this is happening. It there a way to turn...

I am running a BIOSTAR KM266 Pro Chipset Motherboard With Onboard AMD Sempron 2200+ and a ATI 9600. Both list having a 8x agp capability, but the max is listed as 4x in the video controls? Can that be changed somewhere and will it make a big difference?

At that temp the computer crashed, so I force quit it and restarted it in the bios mode. After I read the temp, I turned it off and left it alone for quite a while

I had posted a previous question about my fan not turning on on my motherboard to cool it down and had posted that the temp in the bios read 98 degrees farenheit. I got the answers I deserved for that statement! The temperature is actually 98 degrees CELCIUS and my fan is still not turning...

I guess that shows how much of a newby (or 'idiot' for those with darker sides) I really am!! It read 98 after it had been turned off for a while so I'll leave it on and see how hot I can get it.

My computer suddenly shut down on me the other day. My case felt hot and after checking my bios the next day, my comp made it up to 98 degrees. My fan goes on occasionally but for very short periods and then shuts down. It was not turning at all when my bios read 98!!! What the !$# do I do?

my motherboard is a Biostar KM 266 Pro with an AMD Semptron 2200+...

just added 256 mg of ram to my already existing 256 mg. In my system info it now tells me I have 480 mgb's What happened to the other 32????

Alright, with all your help, I am closer to making a choice. My last step, is where to buy this thing...and was wondering how safe it was to buy a card from ebay and if anyone knows of any flags to look for or any reasons why one should not buy off of ebay...(btw, I am going for a 9600 XT)...

every five minutes or so, my mouse (the pointer) just goes beserk all over the screen and opens or closes anything that it goes over. The only way I can stop it is to press the window key on my key board, and I sometimes have to do that several times before I can get control over the pointer...
