Hi, all. Tried running AdAware and Search & Destroy in safe mode. The scan proceeded part-way then the computer turned off. I tried the Panda Software scan from normal Windows and the same thing happened. Do I need to reformat and reinstall Windows? Best, Dave D.

You can use TMPGEnc. There are 'MPEG Tools' under the file menu that will enable you to trim or cut the MPEG1 file. Alternatively, Ulead VideoStudio can be obtained very cheaply and will edit MPEG1 files. Best, Stutz
