    powerline adapter and switch problem

My current setup is that my AT&T GigaPower modem is in the far room of my home. Wireless is great throughout the house, but some of my older devices are not wifi capable and require a wired Ethernet connection. In order to get wired access to other locations, I installed a TP-LINK powerline...

    VGA/DVI and HD-capability

Isn't most HDTV in the US broadcast in 1080i? If I picked up 1080i HDTV channels with my computer's TV tuner, will they be displayed in full HD on the monitor in 720p? Similarly, if I were to watch Blu-ray and HD DVD movies on my computer, would they be shown in full HD glory on my LCD using...

    VGA/DVI and HD-capability

I have a Gateway notebook that came with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 video card that only has a VGA output (no DVI). If I attached an HD-capable external LCD monitor to this VGA port, would my video card allow HD content from my computer to be displayed on the external monitor? Or can HD...

    video card supported resolutions

I do hope that is the case. I know that my card now does not support it, but it came with my computer I bought in October 2001 (an old GeForce3). Just wanted to check. I'm thinking a GeForce6 series card.

    video card supported resolutions

When I do buy my new LCD, I need to make sure the new Nvidia video card I buy to go with it can support 1680x1050 resolution. The problem is that I can't find a list anywhere showing the resolutions that each of their cards support. I don't necessarily want the latest, greatest thing. In fact...

    Samsung SyncMaster 215TW

I started this discussion in another thread a couple of days ago, but I have received some more advice recently and wanted to ask again. I am interested in buying a large, widescreen LCD to use as an external monitor for a widescreen tablet PC, so I need the ability to rotate the monitor...

    LCD Buyer's Guide

I started this question in a new thread, but I think perhaps this would be a good place to continue it. I am interested in buying a large, widescreen LCD to use as an external monitor for a widescreen tablet PC, so I need the ability to rotate the monitor freely and quickly between landscape...

    switching stands for Samsung 226BW

If I decided to keep the monitor in the landscape mode all the time, is there any drawback to a TN panel? Also, why do 22" LCDs seem to be so much cheaper compared to many 21" and 23+" LCDs? Is it that most 22" are based on TN? Is TN an inferior technology?

    switching stands for Samsung 226BW

I am interested in buying the Samsung 226BW LCD, but I do not like the fact that the stand it comes with does not swivel or rotate (or so I have been told). I am planning on using this LCD partly as an external monitor for a tablet PC, so I need the ability to rotate the monitor freely and...
