No/VERY Slow HTTP Access (Vista Business 32-bit)

Not really sure what was the problem. Uninstalled NOD32 3 and downloaded their latest version and installed it. Didn't fix anything. A few hours later it downloaded a new virus database and it has worked fine since then. Was able to recheck Firefox and still access the net. So basically...

No/VERY Slow HTTP Access (Vista Business 32-bit)

I finally figured out the problem. NOD32 3.0. For some reason something happened to it and it was blocking ALL HTTP connections. The weird thing is I told it to "disable" itself and that didn't fix it. So I went into the options and told it to EXCLUDE Firefox from scanning. Bam, Firefox...

No/VERY Slow HTTP Access (Vista Business 32-bit)

Well, I have been trying to load 192.168.0.1 which is my router and it won't load. Yet I can go into a command prompt and ping 192.168.0.1 and www.yahoo.com and it works. Just won't in the browsers.

No/VERY Slow HTTP Access (Vista Business 32-bit)

But it affects all browsers, Firefox, Opera, Avant, IE7, IE8. None work. I would think a plugin would only affect the browser it is installed in. I guess there are a few plugins that are used in all of them. Will look into it.

No/VERY Slow HTTP Access (Vista Business 32-bit)

Well, last night I had no problems surfing the net. But this morning when I woke up it could no longer access the web (Computer is left on 24/7). The weird thing is Torrents are not affected, neither is playing games like Vanguard. Just seems to be HTTP only that is having the problem. I...

15" or less Laptop with Discrete Video Approx $1k

Anybody have any experience with ZT Systems? It looks like they have the best laptops with the best video cards for the cheapest price. Am looking to buy a decent gaming laptop for around $1k (including a 3 year warranty). I also DO NOT WANT 17". They are just too big/heavy, would rather lug my...

Diskeeper Pro 2007 vs. Perfect Disk 8

I have found the built in ones to be junk and do a poor job in general. What I did was ran the demo of Diskeeper for it's 30 days then went about 30 days without a defragger then tried Perfectdisk. Perfectdisk has made my windows run a lot quicker. Where it used to sometimes take a few...

Diskeeper Pro 2007 vs. Perfect Disk 8

So you say we shouldn't pay for a defrag tool but then you offer no suggestion on some good free ones?

WMP 11 Album Art not downloading?

I see album art but when I apply the album to my stuff, it doesn't save the art. It overwrites my song data but doesn't touch the image. :(

Diskeeper Pro 2007 vs. Perfect Disk 8

Which do you recommend or is there a better 3rd option? I have tried 30 day demo of Diskeeper Pro Premier ($100 yuck, Pro is $70) and it was alright. Not really sure it sped things up or not. Has resident program that defrags as you work so it could slow system down a bit. Not sure if the...
