I don't miss the start button honestly. I freaked in DP, but by RP I was ok. Now I don't use icons on my desktop or miss the start button. I have 2 22 inch monitors on my desktop, non-touch. It took me about 20 minutes to stop freaking out and 'get' the vision.

You could also use some freeware/trialware dump analyzers out there I suppose.

Make sure you apply http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645594 As I think previously stated.

If it hangs, collect a memory dump and !analyze -v it, see which driver was hung.

Windows 8 also introduces a higher number range, so the scale isn't correct between Windows 7 and 8, I would expect some numbers to be a little lower...

My two systems ETL traces (these are authoritative traces to judge CPU usage/latency, etc) and the two I've had xscess upload do not reflect the same DPC latency as the tool that is being quoted on this forum. I can't address this more but have turned it over to folks that can. More info...

So I was reading one of the graphs wrong in WPA, the latency I see is max around 200us...Working with some folks internally to look at the trace submitted on this thread.

And yeah I hear what you are saying about how you shouldn't have to disable anything, totally agree, just troubleshooting at this point.

Yep. I'm looking at this but I think I'm seeing what is mentioned here in the forums on my hardware as well.
