whenever i try to flash my g5 it gets stuck at "waiting for port to flash" and just sits there, and the window blinks. any suggestions?

can someone give an actual reason WHY aspire sucks?

this question was just on call for help, the only true solution is to reformat. theres no way to do it through windows or through the bios.

everything is looking good so far. im gonna go ahead and see what i can do about a new psu, then eventually a raptor drive.

mechBgon thank you so much for your help. i just dled the motherboard drivers and im going to go change some settings in my bios. ill let you know how it turns out :)

windows xp pro sp 2 norton internet security 2005 with norton antivirus 2005 with jan 19th defs last scan was about an hour ago (randomly scans when it feels like it) no negative results. i also scan with spybot and adaware regularly.

yes task manager does show two graphs and it is enabled in my bios. the ram modules are in the correct spots. (start up screen shows ram running at 400mhz dual channel linear or something) i dont quite know how to change latencys with ram and stuff i dont think i need to though. the ram runs...

idleing at 53 isnt a horribly high temp but it is above average. stock fans tend to not do the best job. if you are worried then go out and get a new cpu fan.

psu is a raidmax rd-350w. i have a radeon 9700 which has lately been telling me randomly that i havent connected the power cable to it even though it has always been connected. all settings are correct in bios (i think)

i finally got the cash to buy a new motherboard and now it doesnt work. i can get past the bios screen but when it tries to boot up windows, it restarts. ive tried everything. does anyone have any suggestions?
