I used to sell HP's, which means that I worked on HP's. Alot. They suck, just like allmost every big-name pre-bulit CPU manufacturer. Sorry. I would say call HP and flip out.
As for the bios IIRC It's like F1 or F2. Try hitting tab and see if you can catch the hit xxxx to enter BIOS...

Not to be a jackass, but I wasn't aware CD burners needed drivers. Perhaps that is the problem. I had an old Ricoh IDE burner and I just hooked it up and ran.
I recently installed NVMAX. After 10 or so reboot's I get this window that pops up after a reboot, it says Error in NVQTWK.DLL Missing entry. I get this error with both 12.6 and 12.9 drivers. I was wondering if anyone knows what this is all about.
I can see that in the Opengl properties there is a checkbox to enable it, but in Tribes 2 It won't let me select it. I compare how my G3 and my G2 (that I put in my spare machine) looks, and I can clearly see that with the G3 Anisotropic filtering is not on, even though the box is checked in...
