You have to create folders and put these map files in /miomap/maps on your SD cards. Remove maps on your Mio after that. You can leave the base map there. It will combine maps from both locations. Btw, if anyone still have the Mio c310x, these maps will also work with v3.3.

You should install games on a separate drive. It runs faster that way. It could be that the built-in defrag tools did a worse job than it should. Try Diskeeper. It's rated top for hard drive defragmentation.
