Ok seriously e6300 is NOT comparable a celeron.
Making CD's, digital photos and even tv viewing with a tv tuner are not even intensive to the CPU.
Without benchmarks, give 5 computers with each conroe/allendale and you won't be able to tell which is faster at making CD's, digital photos...
I plan on buying a e6300 and OCing to the max. I had an idea, since cpus vary on how much they overclock, should I get two and then sell the one that doesn't overclock as well on ebay? Has anyone else done this and got 2 cpus that overclocked differently?
omg plz boycott anything less than a 750GB hard disk plz I need more GBs to store more p0rn!1 we need to be HEARD! while we are at it we should boycott the conroe cuz where is my 4GHZ? I have been waiting years until the day where I can brag to my friends about my 4GHZ computer! BOYCOTT CONROE...
you'll be sorry when something in windows in the background randomly spikes your cpu causing you to lag, and then an orc will KILL you! Is a single core worth being dead?!? You are a pretty risky person.
OMGWTFBBQ
"The 2.4GHz E6600 turned out to be quite an overclocker in our tests. Even though it was hard-locked at a 9 multiplier it reached an amazing 4GHz in the overclocking tests. That represents a 67% overclock."
egads! I just fixed the links.
Hmmm, how much are the 965 boards going to start at?
I'm not sure I am going to go for conroe unless/until it goes to $150~ and is pretty overclockedable...
Hm
