I've been on my ATI 800GTO2 flashed bios and overclocked to X850XT PE levels since mid 2005 now and I'm starting to feel the crunch when I attempt to play Crysis which it will barely do at low settings and some tweaking...I think it just doesn't like my overclock for some reason because I've...
Is it worth getting the MSI card for the free Witcher game over the EVGA card? I'm also a bit curious if the BFG card is better or worse for some reason.
Lithan,
If I buy the video card I can't send you the card but I'll be happy to send you my 3DMark06 results. ;)
will they be dropping a lot in price over the next few weeks? I'm ready to buy an EVGA 8800GTS 512mb video card now especially since they have a $30 rebate on them but I also would rather not have to worry about a rebate if the prices are going to be dropping a lot because of the new 9800's...
Well I'm in the same boat as he is so I'm concerned. Would a socket 939 Dual Core Opteron overclocked to about 3.0ghz be a good solution for now. I've really got to read aobut the differences now because I've been out of the loop for a while now.
Wow I've been out of the loop for a while because I still love the performance of my socket 939 setup and feel all I really need to do to get more performance is up the clock on my single processor 2.2ghz processor or buy a dual core Opteron overclock the heck out of it.
It's sad to think they charge an extra $10 for an 8mhz overclock I could do myself. Otherwise are these the same card???
I'm still mulling over whether to buy now or wait for the price to drop since the 8800gts's are just a bit over my intended budget.
What are the differences between these two cards? Also are there any other cards made better from their manufacturer worth considering over these two? better memory, fan, cooler, etc?
