usually mobo's that are dual-channel capable dont like to use memory when there is only 3 slots filled up. has to be using single or pairs only.

I was wondering since we can overclock almost any part of the computer can we overclokc the HDD as well to make it spin faster. Like get a normal 7200RPM HDD and make it spin at 10,000... well maybe thats a bit too high but maybe atleast to 8,000RPM. What do you guys think?

you could try to flash the motherboards bios as long as you know how to flash properly if its a new motherborad they usually come with a way to flash from within windows using the program winflash. Thats how i flashed mine. Good luck

uh... again as i said he tried a different HARD DRIVE it can be because its clogged. and even if it was clogged it would run fine after boot-up.

but he said he tried another HDD then it can be a clogged HDD then. It could be a motherboard problem, try to put your hardware in another mobo and try again.

what happens after the fans spin up... the system just turns off or do the fans keep spinning with no POST?
