My concern is, current windows installation has all of the software related to gigabyte board and if I just uninstall those and install the intel motherboard cd that would take care of it rite?

Ok I changed the HDD to an SSD and the boot time and IE opening time has improved.
Only concern is it wont boot on any other memory other than the one which I used initially used.
