2008 Dodge Ram Interior Map Lights

The lights are the type that click. To turn them on/off, you depress the lens cover and hear/feel a click. Press again to turn on/off. And to clarify, when the door is opened, all interior lights turn on (as they should). If I press the light while the door is opened, it will click and...

2008 Dodge Ram Interior Map Lights

I'll try checking the splice in the roof liner. Better not be any mice in mine!!! The switches under the lens cover work when the doors are open, so they appear to be working fine. Yes, the rear dome lamp works, both when the doors open and when the interior dimmer switch is activated. The...

2008 Dodge Ram Interior Map Lights

The vanity light doesn't appear to work at all (there's only a left light on the mirror). The reading lamps turn on when the doors open or dimmer switch is turned up, and they turn on and off when the lens is depressed. Must be the dead driver as you stated.

Everything is stock on the vehicle. There is a vanity light on the driver visor mirror.

Tried it with the truck on and off - same result either way. Also, checked the dimmer switch and that controls the dome light, but not the map lights. If it was a blown fuse, the light shouldn't work at all, right?

2008 Dodge Ram Interior Map Lights

On the '08 Dodge Ram 1500, the interior map lights are activated by depressing the lens cover of the lamp. I recently noticed that on both of my lights, depressing the cover doesn't turn on them on (either the left or right one). However, the lamps do light up when I open the doors, which...

Any Chicagoers here? I need parking advice

The parking garages at Millenium park are close to where you're staying and only cost, I believe, a max of $33/day including all taxes & fees. You'd save over $20/day here and its only a 5 min walk to the Mag Mile. The downside of parking here is that there isn't any in-out privileges...

Brakes "grind" during the first few miles of driving after a cold start

I live in Chicago, so there has been snow on the ground all winter. The noise will be present even if I let the car sit for only 2-3 hours. Could the water/humidity cause this problem, even in such a short duration?

Brakes "grind" during the first few miles of driving after a cold start

My company just gave me use of a '10 Chevy Malibu w/ ~10K miles on it. I've noticed that after starting the car, the first few times I hit the brakes there is a significant "grinding" noise coming from them. After the brakes are applied a few times, the noise disappears and the car drives...

    Comcast DVR Buffer

The buffer on my DVR is only ~20 min. If I'm watching the game, and leave the room for a few minutes, I'd like to be able to rewind and catch any action I miss. Do I really have to record the event to be able to go past the 20 min. mark?

    Comcast DVR Buffer

Currently, my Comcast DVR will only buffer around 20 minutes of a show. Is there any way to increase the amount of time the DVR will buffer? I'd like to be able to rewind some programs more than the buffer will allow.

10 dead +44 others shot over weekend in Chicago

I was hanging out with a friend last night (A Chgo officer) and he said it was pretty bad this weekend on the South and West sides. In one instance, a marked police car was responding to shots fired and passed by a group of guys who mistakenly thought the marked car was coming after them. The...

What's a good luxury hotel in Chicago?

Try the Elysian. Brand new. Just opened up a couple of months ago. Close to downtown and plenty of restaurants/bars/etc.
