You can check out http://www.runtime.org/ and see if the GetDataBack software is useable for what you are asking for. i've used this to get me data back from a newly formatted drive before.

Serendipity should be able to do the job. i should be custumizable enought in order for oyu to remove the default side items and maybe allow you to add your own.

Im looking for a free or low costing alternative to copying a 15 gb harddrive over to a 60 gb. i downloaded the trial version od ghost 10 from symantec but it would not allow me to do this with the trial. Does anyone have any suggestions to other peives of software that i may be able to use...
