Pheonix (Award) BIOS use the same code, so no matter what board or BIOS version you have, the beep code is the same. These fine gentlemen are correct in their assessment, one long and two short = video error.

Still have one of those boards running. Takes whatever I throw at it. Probably one of the best AMD boards ever made IMO.

These are 8 pipe cards and nvidias way of eliminating the 6600GT line. It's easier and cheaper for them to eliminate a production line on the 6600 core and stick with the 6800 which will be phased out soon as well. They need to keep a budget line and eliminate cost to them.

I would stay away from M-Audio if he wan't good sound from using it as an input device for a mixer. The best card out there right now is the Bluegears Mystique. They will come out with a new card soon (though now they are sold to Auzentech, which will continue their excellent product line).

Go with the Epox, you'll be much happier with your purchase.

I switch rigs like some people change clothes. I get bored with a rig after a few months and try something new.

Gotta love those Epox boards. I kinda miss my 9NPA+Ultra.
