I think they are good if you're using you system for video editing. I'm thinking of throwing in two 75GB 10,000 RPM Raptors and then have a nice large 400GB 7200 SATA drive for everything else.

Biggest problem with iPod is the fact that it's proprietary hardward and Apple likes to make their products fairly expensive. I'd rather get an iRiver based on price, but I do like the interface for the iPod.

Hey Guys, I need someone to spec out a machine that's main purpose is for video editing, and general home office use. I'm looking specifically at what video cards would be best used in this type of setup.

What would be better for video editing? AMD or Athlon? What would you recommend for video card and capture cards?

I've got a Windows 2003 box, a Windows 2000 Workstation (latest sp), and an XP box, and find that I like the 2000 box :P

Will be buying the Collector's version ;)
