I'm considering upgrading from an e8400/2GB ram (long story.. and I cannot overclock due to a not so great mobo) to an i3 2100 set up. I plan on doing a major upgrade next spring with IvyBridge and a 28nm GPU so I'd prefer not to spend $220 on the 2500k right now. The rest of my system...
uggh this is going to be such a difficult game to find benchmarks for. So with a good cpu at a standard res there isn't that much of a difference between the midrange (5750 and up) and the high end cards on high settings. Yet being a blizzard game I still don't see it being that crazy on...
Check out the Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T. It isn't out yet but it should be roughly 3 pounds, 11.6" 1336x768 screen, low voltage core i5 etc with amazing battery life.
The idle power consumption on that is very high, especially with a 8800gtx.

That is with a 8800gtx.
i3 or whatever route you choose will save enough electricity to be noticeable on your power bill!
