    noobie question...

Thanks, folks. I should really put things in context. I've just invested in a HD7850 card and I'm just looking at what is the best option of hooking up the 'second' monitor (my panels only have DVI and D-Sub). The first monitor will be DVI to DVI.

    noobie question...

Which of the following is better? HDMI to DVI, or (mini-)Display Port to DVI? I would be grateful if you can give your reasoning for saying one over another. Thanks.

    5 Monitor Setup

Since you only want 2D, have you consider a Matrox card? Pick one which has a LFH60 connector and with a cable upgrade, you are looking at 4 analog monitors. Posted from Anandtech.com App for Android

    AMD Eyefinity

    EXCellR8: Thanks for the answer. Am I right with the following understanding - I can have different Eyefinity profiles, e.g. 3 screens 5440 (1920x2 + 1600) x 1200 for 2D and 3840 (1920x2) x 1200 for 3D? Do you think a 7950 is sufficient to power a pair of 1920x1200 under 3D? (I don't...

    AMD Eyefinity

Would you guys thing a 2-card solution works better than a single-card (fiddling with resolutions)? Thanks.

    AMD Eyefinity

That's my point: Do you think I can run a pair of 1920x1200 screens off the HD7870 and then one screen at 1600x1200 off the HD66XX/77XXX? In this set up, I'd only play games using the pair of 1920x1200 screens.

    AMD Eyefinity

Interesting... For 3D gaming, I can live with just two screens (1920x1200 x 2) or even just one screen. For 2D work (Office apps, e-mail, internet, etc.) I really like having three screens (desktop real estate). Would it work better if I use the HD7870 to power the two 1920x1200...

    AMD Eyefinity

Has anyone had experience in successfully setting up AMD Eyefinity using different monitor resolutions? I'm looking to a 3-monitor display set up: GPU: AMD HD7870 Eyefinity Displays: 1920x1200 x 2 (Dell U2412M 24") 1600x1200 (ViewSonic VP2130b 21") Can the GPU, and Eyefinity...

Help: Need your opinions - 2 cards, 3 monitors setup

Thanks, KingFatty. I see that most 7950s have DVI, HDMI and 2 mDP, I pretty much have to go for monitors what will support these. Here is what I'm thinking: 3 Dell panels is just too steep for now. I'd go for 3 iiyama 24" ProLite E2481HS-B1 Slim Bezel (D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI). If I only...

Help: Need your opinions - 2 cards, 3 monitors setup

Thanks, Pedroc1999. 7970 is a little out of my league. I'd settle for a 7950. I generally play RPGs (Elder Scrolls IV and V, X3TC), strategy games (Civ4), management games (CityXL, FM13) and, very occasionally, FPS.

Help: Need your opinions - 2 cards, 3 monitors setup

I currently have a pair of ViewSonic VP2130b 22" 1600x1200 LCDs powered by a GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB card. Unfortunately, one of the ViewSonics are going south on me so I'm looking to both upgrade and expand... I'm looking to get myself a pair of Dell U2412M 24" 1900x1200 LCDs and a GeForce...

Windows 7 beta on an USB stick?

I've downloaded both the 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows 7 beta. Nowadays I only have one rig and I don't plan to trash my rig just to test this OS. Does anyone know whether I can install and boot Windows 7 beta from a USB stick? Thanks.
