I had an original 7900gt KO from eVGA, i rma'd it with the issues that were surrounding the 7900 series. When I got the new 79KO I noted there were a few changes to the board itself. Needless to say, I could not get them to go into SLI mode. I'll be jumping on the big NO bandwagon for this...

wow, thanks! i feel pretty good about that... here's a pretty good psu config tool that i found to see if i needed to upgrade that beast as well. Now that my corp bonus finally hit my account i'm getting a 580 HIPer type-r....i chose that one mostly because it's blue and matches my rig's motif...

ah, yeah i just posted my results there, about 3 posts up. even overclocked the 6600gt is not as fast as a 6800gs locked, or unlocked.

is it feasable to assume that you can flash your 6800gs bios with a 6800gt bios if your pipes and vertexes unlock successfully via softmod? if so, has anyone round these parts tried it? or linky to someone who has....thanks ya'll....oh and i have an xfx 6600gt and an evga6800gs i will post...
