hi Zaoan,
I had the same videocard (hd 4850 by Sapphire) and I got after 2 years artifacts and stripes. try to 'bake ' it but didn't succesfully repaired it. (allthough now i look closely, I think i Might 've had the radiator on the other side too)
This is probably a fluke, bad luck,a s I...
@Zaoan,
I had a 4850 (pci-e). It should work with your bios.
The fastest AGP card is HD3850 though. It s very fast en it will not bottleneck your system. Going for the HD4850 might eb a bit of an overkill for your hardware specs.
At this moment I Have a asrock 4coredual SATA II and VSTA...
Hi Del,
Yes I already found this and flashed with this tool. Only I didn't dare to also flash with the bootblock and NVram enabled.
Bit scared to brick my mobo.
I used it thought to flash to the newest version because for some reason it didn't take from my bootable USB stick in DOS-mode...
Hello guys,
I will try to type a request for the guys of Pctreiber. For a bios for the 4coredual-SATAII that will properly detect and boot with 2 x 2GB Ram-dimms.
But it might take a while. I'm being busy with things here at home. Little crisis here and there.
So bare with me please...
BTW I got a zalman 520 Watt in that Rig and I also tried the 650 Nexus PSU of my Main Rig, both wiht the same results. (don't have a multimeter but I'm pretty sure it delivers enough Amps to teh 12 V rail, the ACTUAL PSU is a modulair 700 W, top brand, forgot which. Adn just closed the Case...
OK to answer your suggestions:
No I use much loser timings, so that assumption is not correct. I actually use auto, and when that didnt work I used the 800MHZ speed timings (5-5-5-18) on 266Mhz, just to be on the safe side.
My DDR2 kit is quite generic.. it works especially since:
They dó boot...
Hey peeps:
Still can't get the 2x2gb dimms to work.
I off course did reset the cmos after updating it to the PC treiber bios version.
(enabling agp fastwrites on/off and all that, doesn't have any impact of course if the PC boots with 4 gb of ram.
Besides the 'skew buffer thingy' do I...
- No I haven't overclocked yet. I run it at 200 MHZ Fsb.
It doesn't matter if I run the memory at auto or a set value. I leave everything on purpose on the 'auto'- setting
- In compatibility mode does it the same... not booting
- Yes I do need the 4 (3,3) GB. It is handy with this HTPC and...
Hello Peeps,
I've finally got my ASrock 4coredual-sata II working with the e4500.
It kept crashing on finalizing installation. Key appearantly I had to set it to RAID mode, even though I'm only using 1 HDD.
Another Problem arose though:
I've updated teh Bios to teh 2.20a bios from...
Yes indeed, I was referring to using the OCZ on my Asrock VSTA! So it does apply to this forum.
That was I was curious of course about your settings on this particular motherboard,or your 4core dual SaTA II. Im confused which one you have. The latter, right?
The settings in the bios are...
@ Deleauvive
3 questions for you:
- Could you share what type of OCZ modules you have and with what default timings they're supposed to have?
- Could you tell also what CPU and what bios-version you have on the motherboard?
- Would you be willing to post all your actual/current/STABLE...
OCZ are picky to run at tight timings on this board, even the OC-modules like the reapers! I got 1200 MHz (600 Double rated) modules DDR2 and I can't even run those at their corresponding timings that are supposed to go together with let s say 266 MHz.
See my previous posts.
So yes...
I've 2 sticks of 1 GB, OCZ 1200MHZ (cas 5) memory.. yes the fastest DDR2 memory ever built!
However... the memory is very picky! CPUZ say 266/333 runs on 1.8 volt, 566 and XMP seting of 600 (=1200 Mhz effective) runs on 2,1 volt.
Not gonna volt-mod the board, though.
And I had a lot of...
Hlafordlaes:
Are you 100% sure about this?
And if yes, from which biosses are you sure it works like this:
Applying both to 4coredual vsta and 4coredual-sata2.. since I own both boards!
To all of you:
Which setup should I use for HTPC (xbmc running on windows) en which one for gaming...
