    Hardrive Recovery

Hey Guys, I need some advice. I need a program that can recover FAT16/FAT32 and NTFS files from a crashed HD. Can anyone recommend a good one? An example of one is R-studio: www.r-tt.com But I was hoping someone could recommend something a little more well-known. Thanks in advance!

    Unlocking XPs with Conductive Rubbers

Apparently not all cellphone LCDs use this "rubber" technology. I ripped apart a Motorolla cellphone that was dead (someone spilt pop on it), but the LCD did have anything like a conductive rubber on the back of the LCD (much to my dissappointment). Perhaps this is why everyone is so concerned...

    Unlocking XPs with Conductive Rubbers

Yes, its hard to see form the pictures. Basically, the "rubber" consists of alternating conducting and insulating bands. __________ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | <- put this on top of the bridges ---------------- The lines (|) would represent insulators, the open spaces would be a...

    Unlocking XPs with Conductive Rubbers

Have any of you guys seen this? Athlon XP Unlocking: The New Way! The site isn't in english, but follow along with the pictures. They were able to connect the L1 bridges using the conductive rubber from the back of the LCD of a Nokia cell phone. Have any of you guys tried this? If this...

    DDR CAS Latency Question

Hmm, damn, googlegear doesn't seem to give any detailed info on the RAM. Now I'm not sure how quality the RAM really is. Is $53.50 too cheap for good memory? Can anyone recommend a "trustworthy" vendor to purchase from? I know that lots of evil stores like to rip people off on memory...

    GeForce 5 (NV30) in August

Taken from Anandtech's original GeForce3 Review: << The only real performance advantages the GeForce3 currently offers exist in three situations: 1) very high-resolutions, 2) with AA enabled or 3) in DX8 specific benchmarks. You should honestly not concern yourself with the latter, simply...

    GeForce 5 (NV30) in August

<< The GeForce3 offered much better gaming at higher resolutions. The GeForce4 offers benefits ONLY when you use AA. >> I'm not sure where you are coming from here. If anything, I would say the oppostie is true. The GeForce3 runs the SAME as the GeForce2 when they are clocked at the same...

    GeForce 5 (NV30) in August

I actually view things opposite to most of you I think. I would expect the GeForce5 to NOT be significantly faster than the GeForce4. If we think about nVidia's product line: TNT TNT2 GeForce GeForce2 GeForce3 GeForce4 You'll notice that all the "odd" model numbers introduce new technology...

    75GXP ..... death rate?

YIKES! I never knew the 75GXPs had such a high failure rate. I have a 20Gig Deskstar back from about 3 years ago when IBM HDs were considered the best in the bunch. I hope it doesn't crap out on me! BTW, what do you guys consider the best drives to be now that IBM is so unreliable?

    DDR CAS Latency Question

Thanks for the replys. I saw some cheap Samsung CAS2.5 RAM at www.googlegear.com, so I think I'll get some of that.

From an OC perspective, is it worth the $25 to get the XP1900+ over the XP1800+ ?

I guess it depends on whether you're overclocking to save money, or overclocking to have the fastest system possible. Personally, I only o/c to save money, so personally I'd go with the 1800+. Actually, I'm building a system too, and I'm going with the 1600+ to offset the cost of having a more...

    DDR CAS Latency Question

I'm buying some PC2100 memory, but most of the RAM I see for sale is actually CAS2.5 latency. I was wondering if you guys actually purchase CAS2 memory, or do you just get some CAS2.5 memory and change the timing in the BIOS? Thanks, Spaceloaf

Overclocking FSB on the EPoX 8KHA+ (PCI Divider)

Thanks for the replys! I guess if it doesn't work due to PCI failure, I could always just pick up an SB Live. I hear you can pick one up for around $20 these days. I guess its time to spend some money...
