The new ati card has already failed imo. erratic highs and lows relative to the 8800 are not worth the HUGE amount of power this card draws. The card may only be $399, but most people will probably need to spend $100+ on a new power supply to deal with this thing. I ordered my EVGA 8800GTS640...

I'd really appreciate any more input people can give me, especially on which video card to get, and what I should do with the monitor.

I won't be running SLI, and probably will not overclock this machine. I tend to build for low noise level more than anything else. I'm going to get a 20" wide screen lcd btw (probably the dell ultra sharp or a samsung). So based on that, what videocard should I get.
