I heard, that 90nm AMDs actualy make less heat than 130nm, but they run hotter because of smaller core --> smaller surface touching heatspredaer, so heat doesn't "run" so efficently.

I'm planing on buying a new computer (AMD64 3500+, MSI NEO2 Platinum, Crucial Ballistix pc4000 ram). How high should my overclocking plans be? I've read, that it goes up to about 2,55GHz with air cooling, but i've got a high performance watter cooling, so it sohuld go even higher. Please share...

Don't remove that what you call "cover" (it's a heat spreader). Termal grease needs to be applyed to the top of this spreader (thin layer). About the thermal sensor...hmmm (don't place it between cpu and cooler, that would rise your CPU temperature - that thermal sensor doesn't conduct heat too...

Thank you for this tip, 6 euros per stick isn't much if the qualitiy is good (still cheaper than pc4000 rams in Slovenia :o) I have another question: Do these DDR500 Ballistix also use micron chips? And if they don't, do they also perform good on AMD64 paltform? TY
