thanks for the responses. ya, it doesnt seem to ever be more than like 4-5C from each other, and that's only for a quick moment. idle or load they are within 1-3C of each other.
Greetings. In short, is it OK if one core is 1-4C hotter then the other?
So, I just installed a Tuniq Tower 120 with arctic silver 5 two days ago. Now I notice at idle my temps (according to Core Temp) are Core#0 23C and Core#1 24C. If I run Orthos they jump up around Core#0 37C and Core#1...
Thanks for the quick response. The main reason I am hoping this works is the current game I am playing, EverQuest II, supposedly has huge performance gains when moving to 2GB.
Much Thanks.

I currently have 2x512MB Geil Golden Dragon PC3500 modules in my system now. I also have an additional 2x512 Samsung PC2700 modules, and I'm wondering if I can add those, or do all 4 memory modules have to be the same?
My MB is a Abit IS7-E Socket 478.
Much Thanks.
Wicktron, thanks for the response. Those are the only types of memory that will work with a Abit IS7? If so, that's pretty depressing and I wish I hadn't ordered this board since it seems to be impossible to tell if what memory is based on Winbond CH-5 IC's or Winbond BH-5 IC's.
I just got a Abit IS7-E with a P4 2.4 (800mhz). I have read some memory has issues with this mb. so, who has an Abit IS7-E? Which RAM are you using?
Much Thanks.
I have been an AMD user for years now and haven't paid much attention to Intel until recently. I realized that I know next to nothing about Intel MB's, so I came here to hopefully get some direction. I plan on getting a P4 2.8 (800mhz) and 1024 Dual DDR PC3200. Which MB's should I look into...
