Dell also launched (VERY quietly) their 7000-series Latitudes today, in 12-inch and 14-inch flavors. They aren't customizable yet, but I spoke to a rep today who said they got a notice from corporate that they'll be customizable within 48 hours.
12-inch...
Hi All,
My company works almost exclusively with SonicWALLs, but we have a few clients with Cisco ASAs and one new client with a FortiNet FortiGate 80C.
The FortiNet client's firewall services are up for renewal, and I was looking at replacing their device with a pair of SonicWALL NSA 240's...
Yeah, mine were in sealed anti-static bags as well, and the packing paper was "molded" and not just flat sheets of paper, sort of like fat cardboard, so they should be fine.
I just received my two from the CA shipping office, and they also came loosely wrapped in brown paper, but at least they were placed in the middle of the box and surrounded by packing peanuts on all sides. I haven't tested them yet, but now I am weary of putting these two into my rig. I was...
IMO, now that this CPU is available online it is immediately an INFERNO HOT deal. Those of you not lucky enough to have a Micro Center nearby, GET THIS CPU!
This section of the X-bit article shows exactly what all of us overclockers feared.
The Q9300's overclocking potential is all but nullified by its low 7.5x multiplier. X-Bit was only able to OC the chip to 3.5GHz thanks to the low multi. They simply ran out of FSB clock room. I fear that...
Price cuts on the Q6600's are coming soon, but according to the info I've read the post-cut per-unit price for the Q6600 (in 1000-unit allotments) will be $226 or so, still higher than Micro Center's sale price.
I ordered mine on the 14th, got the email and activated the account on the 17th, and I received my official TechNet card in the mail today. Best $99 I've ever spent!
Depends on your LCD size. At 1680x1050 the 9600GT should be more than fine.
Other than Crysis, this card should run everything at 60+ FPS, so if you run V-sync like me (because tearing sucks!) then it won't matter.
The 8800GTS + Crysis IS a great deal, and currently one of the best 8800GTS deals on the Internet. The only one I've seen that compares is the NewEgg BFG 8800GTS for $240 AR, but IMO the EVGA deal is better because there's no rebate and you get Crysis with it.
Plus, EVGA's warranty is a...
I was wondering how long it'd take for someone to post this here. If I wasn't lazy I would have done it a few days ago. :D
The 8800GTS 512MB + Crysis is a HOT deal at $249 with no rebates. I don't know where you can get one that cheap outside of this deal. Mine is on its way.
This is GREAT RAM. True, it won't OC much past about 1070MHz, but then again it's already pretty high-clocked to begin with. And I've recommended this RAM to all of my friends and they love it.
