    Q9450 $279 @ Microcenter.com

Apparently so...the Q9400 will be out and this one will fade away.

    Q9450 $279 @ Microcenter.com

no, I would not. I would use the $100 on perhaps more HD space or a vid card upgrade first.

    Q9450 $279 @ Microcenter.com

Unless ALL one does is video editing/encoding then these things surely still are not worth $120 more than a good Q6600...IMHO.

    nvidia 175.16 driver installation issues

I can't seem to get the drivers for my PNY 9800GTX to install on my Biostar TPowerI45 board. The installation says the drivers were installed but when I reboot it only goes as far as the windows loading screen then dies out (Vista32) If I use XP32 then half way thru the driver installation it...

    q9450 @ 4ghz air

it is amazing with these chips in that you need very little vcore to get high OC but the Nb and VTT voltages will kill a board trying to run 24/7 at a high OC.

IS E3110 okay to get instead of E8400 ?

By "any different" I mean from an operational and overclocking perspective. Because someone can reach 4GHz with lower voltage has NOTHING to do with whether the chip is a desktop or server chip. It has EVERYTHING to do with batch/FPO#. The CPU may be rated for different highend vcore and it...

IS E3110 okay to get instead of E8400 ?

yeah..."rumor has it" is the key phrase If someone has documentation from Intel that says their socket 775 xeons are any different than their sockeet 775 desktop CPUs I wish they would post it as I am sick of hearing about how many differences there may or may not be between the two.

    X3320 (Q9300) and X3350 (Q9450) available!

If you order a board today you should be fine. I just recieved a DFI LP LT P35 T2R that worked right out of the box for the 45nm CPUs. All X48, 780i, and 790i bords will too. As far as the X38 boards I would say it depends on when they were shipped to etailers, like the P35 board I bought.
