    GTX 970/980 owners thread

Well, first time SLI user here. Question... Does the SLI connector usually come with the GPU, Motherboard, or a PSU? Or do I just need to purchase one separately? Edit: (I only bought a new GPU and PSU, but I looked through my motherboard connectors I had from two years ago and I can't find...

Ok, I don't plan on overclocking. Let me ask this, if I'm pushing it do I run the risk of damaging anything? Or will it just shut off?

    GTX 970/980 owners thread

I'm so glad to hear that!!! My SSD is 256GB. Thankfully I play a single game for awhile, which allows me to keep a few on my PC. Although I still tend to redownload games as I want to play them. :)

    GTX 970/980 owners thread

Help please! I couldn't handle it, and I bought a second GTX 980 for SLI. Could anyone tell me if I have enough to run a SLI configuration or do I need to purchase a new video card? PSU - SeaSonic M12II 620W (Bronze 80) CPU - Intel i7-4770k GPU - SLI GTX 980 One SSD Audio Card - Sound Blaster...

Ultimate Gaming Monitor? Overlord Tempest X270OC

I'm not meaning to hijack this thread, but this gets me wondering as I never can seem to make up my mind. Which of these type of monitors would suite me best. 1. This or similar monitor >60hz (although I would like about 30 inch) 2. 1440p 16:9, Gsync monitor (or Freesync when it comes out) 3...

    2014 - The year of 4k? 28" 4k $699+. 1440p 120Hz too!

I have a general question, as I'm debating on my next monitor purchase which will determine the dollars I spend on a GPU(s) and I plan to purchase in the next few months once one of these products are released. I'm trying to decide whether 4k @ 60hz, or 1440p @ 120hz is better. It would seem...

Google selling Motorola to Lenovo for $3 billion!?

I was referring to the current value of the patents and not what it was valued at the time of the acquisition.

Google selling Motorola to Lenovo for $3 billion!?

Yes, they could still generate revenue from royalties from other companies; however, that revenue is so tiny to what they would expect. The court case they related to this they were seeking $4 billion, but only got $1.7 million. From what I read they lost several other cases. Here is a new...

Google selling Motorola to Lenovo for $3 billion!?

Are there patents really worth that much? I remember reading articles specifying Google took quite a hit after the FRAND patents were devalued from the court's decision.

How do the different windows tablets compare?

They have some refurbished first generation Surface on eBay for $199, although I bought it when it was at $169. Pair that withy a Type Cover 2 for $129 and the combination of the two is pretty nice for the price. The Surface 2 does work better if you want a more "lapability" tablet as the...

    Sprint Framily

I think the reason why the cost is so high is that you have five people on a family plan and you already have each of them on a contract. That would mean $15 x 5 people = $75 per month you are paying for six months. After your contract ends you would end up paying $35 per person a month, plus...

    Sprint Framily

I like the idea that T-Mobile shaking up the market, although the smaller MVNOs (Republic Wireless, Ting, etc.) sure have more innovative and interesting options and usually at better value. I'm guessing the 700mhz will take awhile for T-Mobile to deploy, as you have to have phones...

    Sprint Framily

Spectrum: Sprint does not have 20x20. They have 5x5 in the 800mhz, 5x5 and I believe 10x10 in some markets for 1900mhaz, and then 20mhz to use in the 2500mhz total to use as an up or down link. They can theoretically get a total of 30mhz down since they are apparently aggregating the...
