    Thermaltake VA8000BWS Case

Actually I was thinking more of this version, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811133155 , it doesn't have the big 250 mm fan but it is 20 bucks cheaper than the one with it. I did just notice the deal with MIR on the black steel version brings it down to $109, which I...

    Thermaltake VA8000BWS Case

I just built my new system with that case, and yes its got pleny of room. I would suggest getting the Aluminum version if you like to do a lot of tweaking with your system, it's tons lighter. And I have built systems with both and think the extra 30-40 bucks to have the lighter case is worth it...

    Concerned about my temps.. help?

6800 GT cards do run hot, their designed with that in mind, 64 C at idle is about normal for that card and under load can get upwards of 85 C. If you decide to go with aftermarket cooling then your best bet is going to be either the Zalman VF-700 or VF-900 GPU coolers.

Aging OC XP-M Barton requires more voltage?

From everything I've seen you post so far, it's all starting to center on your ram, could be a bad or degrading module that is the problem. Try 3-3-3-8 on mem timings and see if it stabilizes. Also something of note, on NF2 Ultra chipsets, there is a weird but noteable quirk when the TRAS...

Aging OC XP-M Barton requires more voltage?

Sience you allready have heat spreaders on your ram, I wouldn't hesitate to pump some more voltage to them, 2.7-2.9 should be easily doable. Definately bump that cpu voltage up, XP's can handle a good ammount, I find that with my setup 1.8 Vcore keeps me stable, if a bit warm @ 12.5x200 for...

Aging OC XP-M Barton requires more voltage?

I was able to get into windows at 2.7 ghz with mine, at 2.0 Vcore but I would need to remove my 6800 GT to do it lol, also, I consistantly could run benches at 2.6 ghz but again without my 6800 GT in system, damn card pulls a lot of amps, but I definately wouldn't call it stable at 2.6. BTW...

Aging OC XP-M Barton requires more voltage?

I'm actually kinda suprised its taking that much voltage to stabilize it in the first place, the 35 watt chips were a bit better than the 45 watt like I have. One thing to remember is that the stock fsb on those chips is only 133 so even at 200 mhz you still get a 67 mhz oc on the fsb. At...

Aging OC XP-M Barton requires more voltage?

Bump the CPU V to 1.75. and if you have an adjustment for the Northbridge voltage, give it a bump too. I have a mobile 45 watt 2600+ @ 200x11.5 for 2500 mhz and been running it at 1.75 or 1.8 during the last two years (depending on what configuration ive been running) using a Zalman CNPS 7000...

    Zalman VF700-Cu ramsink

BASTAGE!!!! Btw, the guy that posted above about using AS 5 and then super glue on the corners, this trick does work but I have found it is really easy to knock the sink off using that method, better off just hitting the whole surface of the sink with super glue. Last time I was over at a...

    Zalman VF700-Cu ramsink

Because I gave him the 50 cent way to fix it, you just gave him the $30 way to fix it, and as ironic pointed out, you can use superglue remover to take it off.
