Well ive come from Vista 32bit and straight away it felt more responsive so i obtained another CD key and stuck Win 7 on my pretty slow now frontroom pc which is -
Opteron 146 @ Stock
Asrock Dual SATA2
2GB DDR ram
Nvidia 7600GT PCI Express
Now i was expecting it to chug along but OMG...
Grrrrrrr i just installed Vista premium 32bit and now mines making the same clunking noise, its defo a HDD being turned off then on again, i last read this last week and i had XP and i didnt understand what the op meant, well i frickin do now cos its doing my nuts in.
This is defo a vista...
ive got a Canon MP520 and i only buy cheap ink off Ebay, but dont buy this printer if you intend to print Black and white Photos because for some reason they always come out with a hint of Magenta, im not sure about the rest of the Pixma range maybe somone could let us know.
id prefer to just ditch the 2x 80 D/max 9 drives that are 8mb cache and keep the D/max 11 for my OS and then the 640gb for all my pics, films and Music, at least this way i can keep a lot more films instead of deleting stuff when the 250GB gets a bit full.
i dont really have that much tbh i have about 14gb of music and 40Gb of films and TV programmes and about 10 gig of pics that are backed up to DVD aswell. ive had the OS on the 2x 80GB before and it ran fine, but i was wondering if id benefit from having the OS on the ACHI controller and with it...
ok my Saitek Eclipse keeps going mental, every now and then my Spacebar, B and N keys stop working and then for no reason start working again, now this maybe coincidence but it only started doing this after buying my Philips Ambx starter kit.
Anyone have any thoughts or know of a similar/Same...
So its best if i keep the 250GB drive for Storage then and other important stuff like my pics and music.
You know what, im gonna buy a WD 640GB and scrap the 2 80GB drives, then use the 250GB for my OS and the 640GB for Storage.
Well it was supposed to be a quick question but im still waiting for a reply, Should i install Vista on the 2x80GB in Raid 0 or should i install it on the Single SATA2 drive and enable AHCI ?
Because Banks 1 and 2 are dual booting with Bank 5, and Banks 3 and 4 are dual booting with bank 6, everything is fine mate, if you were running XP/Vista 64bit it would show up but as your using 32bit itll show anything from 2gb to 3.5gb (but secretly winxp 32bit still uses the full 4gig) so...
ive got 2x 80GB Maxtor in raid 0 on Gigabyte raid controller and 1x 250GB SATA2 on an intel AHCI controller.
Question is which should i install Vista 32 on ?
