I hope the OP sees this. I have a 2 TB green drive (Samsung EcoGreen F3) and I was having horrible waits on the drive (using it as video storage for my DVR). I was able to download Samsung's tool and change the AAM setting from "disabled" to "fast". It made a huge performance improvement...
So, it looks like opinions are rather divided on the page file issue. If anyone has the time and inclination to do some actual stopwatch tests, that would be great.
