Does anyone know from first-hand experience if this motherboard supports the Barton core? My last processor burned up and it's given me quite the incentive to upgrade. If anyone could supply me with some information, I would be most grateful.

Actually the notch needs to be in the front ...sorta a backwards pci ...with 2 slots in it. Thanx for the input!

Nope...tried 3 old pci sound card that I have and they don't fit!...there is a slot closer to the back on this slot than normal.The only card that I have that fits is an audigy and I would hate to have to put a 65$ card in a psuedo-server.

AFAIK-as far as I know Maybe it's not pci-x....if that's the case, Any suggestions for the 64-bit PCI slot?

I have that motherboard with a K6-2 550, 256 megs of ram and an Le(hyper enabled at 190mghz). It runs rather more choppy than I had hoped but it's compatable with the few games that I play(Diablo2, Empire Earth...). Maybe you have something enabled in your bios that the Le doesn't like...or...
