I didn't see it, but i'm guessing that $99 compusa deal wasn't for one of the fastest rated CD-RW drives out there. I'm picking this one up next week just because of it's DAE speed... it's supposed to be able to rip a whole CD in under 3 min. Pretty smokin', if you ask me.

I'm trying to set up an FTP server like the title says. I need to know how to set up a user account for the purpose of logging into the ftp server from outside of my domain (i.e. outside of my apartment). Anyone with any experience or helpful hints or useful links would be GREATLY appreciated...

How do you set up a non-Administrator account to log in locally to a w2k server? All i get with anything besides an Administrator account is soemthing about local policy not letting me log in interactively. Any ideas?

The Clie is nice, especially with falling prices lately. But there just aren't any extra devices for it, so I went with a Palm IIIxe with the palm folding keyboard. I love it. The clie is a really nice unit though.

i bought the 7200rpm version of this drive (20gb/platter) at best buy the other day for like $3090. it's an incredible drive, very fast, very quiet, and runs surprisingly cool. it's too bad that it has to go back in a week or so after i encode all these wav files ;)
