You can get other reliable WAP's for a few bucks more. I have a bad experience with BenQ (monitors). They won't fix my 18" flat panel monitor that's less than a year old because they don't have my serial number in their database.
Only $30 a month. I'm helping him out with some other stuff. Yes, I'm sure it's a T1. He's paying about $1300 a month, well his company is paying for it... It's not coming out of his pocket.
So I guess the best way is to use a wireless networking device from my neighbors place? Will the wireless network be able to support the full capacity of the T1?
This is how I would share the connection:
1 nic on pc
1 nic on mac
1 hub
winproxy 3.0
Set the pc so it has the ip. Install winproxy 3.0. Install the nic on pc. The dsl connection is connected to the dsl modem. From the nic, use crossover cat5 to the uplink on the hub. From port 2, connected...
Thanks purplehayes and Entity. I've already decided that I'm not going to take the job. (Lack of experience as you mentioned, Entity.) Besides, I wouldn't want a law suit...
Nerzero is pretty good overall. When it comes down to it, it depends on where you live. When I get the chance, I'll be happy to send you the link so that you can download a patch to get rid of the annoying banners...
Thanks jmcoreymv & purplehayes for the info. I'm going to talk to a few more people before I get back to Farmers insurance about the connection. Purplehayes, thanks for bringing up the liability issue. I never really thought about it...
