    Desktop motherboard for Socket M?

That was the original plan, but it doesn't look like it's worth much based on what's currently for sale on ebay. For anyone else interested, socket P boards definitely are not compatible with socket m chips.

    Desktop motherboard for Socket M?

My Asus t7200 based laptop died due to a motherboard issue. Now I have a perfectly functional t7200 and 2 gb of ddr2 memory (along with some other bits) that need a home. I thought these would be fun to stick in a media pc, but I need a desktop motherboard or SFF. Does anybody know of a good...

Intel vs AMD systems on reliability/longevity

Ditto. You can throw in DFI as a quality motherboard manufacturer. My 5 or 6 year old lanparty NF4 is still doing quite well as a home server with on overclocked x2 that has run 24x7 basically its entire life. I would say memory sticks and power supplies are the things I've seen die the...

Is my wife's ipod 30GB fubar?

Well if it wasn't dead before it is now. After taking it apart and reseating the hdd cable (worked for some people), I tried the less elegant drop it onto your desk/smack it on a countertop version of tech repair (also discussed all over the net and youtube). Somewhere along the way, I think I...

Is my wife's ipod 30GB fubar?

My wife's ipod has stopped responding such that the apple symbol is constantly on the screen. Plugging into to a pc does nothing (not recognized by explorer or itunes). Multiple restarts haven't helped, I tried to get it to switch to disc mode without luck... It is currently plugged in to see...

Specific cpu need, might be mistaken

If you mainly want to game, I think the 750 is plenty fast. You'll be better served saving a couple bucks on the cpu and buying the best gpu you want. As far as your prior question goes, the i7 has 3 memory channels (2 for i5), i7 motherboards will have a full 32 pciexpress lanes for dual gpu...

    i5-750 fsb?

Gotta love turbo. I get 3.8ghz with a 160 bclk @ stock voltage for 1 or 2 thread loads. I'm not bragging at all since that's not much of an overclock, but moving from 1.4ghz to 3.8ghz as needed while running nearly dead silent is just cool. Just need that a next gen ssd and I'll stop thinking...

    i5-750 fsb?

You could just give him the answers without trying to belittle the question... BCLCK is analagous as far as overclocking goes to FSB and = 133 MHz default

Any help for printer sharing btw xp and win 7?

The problem was that during install of the network printer under Win7, it could not find a compatible driver to allow me to print. Canon simply wants you to buy a new printer rather than provide updated drivers (the fp30 has never had drivers for xp64, vista, or win7). You have to use a 64bit...

Any help for printer sharing btw xp and win 7?

Actually, I tried the S600 print drivers from windows update which now allows me to print (can't scan though). The s600 was listed as one of the other printers that my ink cartridges are compatible with. I fought with this for a few hours, and finally got a google search that mentioned a...

Any help for printer sharing btw xp and win 7?

Hi all, I'm trying to convince win 7 64 bit pro to use an old canon multipass f30 printer installed on an xp sp3 machine. My vista 32 bit laptop has done this pretty painlessly, but I can't seem to find a 64bit driver for this old mfp. Does anyone know of a compatible print driver that I can...
