I believe I figured it out myself. The lone power connector goes next to the single ground connector, that is, VP next to VG.

I am trying to connect my Gigabyte GA-8KNXP MB to the 1394 Cable in a Thermaltake Xaser III case. The cable has only 1 power connector labeled VP. However, the MB 1394 connector has pins for 2 power connectors (pins 7 and 8) How do I know which pin on the motherboard to use?

I like blue much better. I would have rather had the aluminum case but it only came in silver. Blue is definitely worth the extra 14 pounds.

I didn't know that any of the proc was ceramic--the top just looks metal. In any case, I decided that putting the temp probe on top was probably not a good idea and just taped it to the metal side of the heatsink. I assume since metal conducts so well, the temp of the entire heatsink is likely...

I'm putting together a P4 2.8c in a Thermatake Xaser iii case. It comes with a Hardcano 9. The temperature probe doesn't fit under the processor on the pin side as the instructions suggest. Thermaltakes' faq suggests taping it to the heat sink side in this situation. 1) Is there any issue...
